boy checked into a hotel. The Receptionist noticed that their behavior was not
normal. Later, the man and boy ate dinner in the hotel restaurant. The staff
again noticed that the two guests were very quiet and the boy was not
interested in his food. After eating, the boy went to his room and the man told
the receptionist to call the manager. The receptionist asked him if there was any
problem with the service or the room? The man said “NO”, just call
the manager.
I want to talk to him. When the manager came, he took him aside
and explained that his son was fourteen years old and was seriously ill. He will
undergo therapy soon, which would cause him to lose his hair. We came to
the hotel to have a break together and also because my son planned to shave his
head, rather than lose it after treatment. I would be shaving my own head
too, in support of my son. He told the staff that be respectful when we come to breakfast with our shaved heads. The manager assured the father that he
would inform all the staff and they would behave appropriately.
The following morning the father and son entered the restaurant
for breakfast. There they saw the four male restaurant staff doing their
duties, perfectly normally, all with shaved heads.
Moral of the Story:
No matter what business you are in, you can help people and you can make a
difference.
